Lowndes Jordan is looking for an experienced senior property solicitor to be a leader in all aspects of residential conveyancing and commercial property for our many business clients.  This is a senior position with a large degree of responsibility and control over making transactions work smoothly and efficiently, the way you think they should.  In addition to pure property and conveyancing, you will join our private client trust and asset planning team, which focuses on detailed succession planning and structuring, often involving substantial financial and property portfolios. Interest is particularly sought from lawyers wishing to cultivate and develop the private clients, trust, and asset planning team further.

About You

You may currently be at a large law firm or a high volume conveyancing practice but now seek a more relaxed work environment, using your years of experience and expertise without compromising on high quality and challenging work.  Ideally you will have:

  • 5+ PQE as an experienced property solicitor.  You will have hands on experience running private and commercial property transactions, leasing, small subdivisional work and general conveyancing
  • private wealth, trusts and asset and estate planning experience would be advantageous
  • excellent contract drafting, writing and negotiation skills
  • expert knowledge of the use of LINZ Landonline, property settlement procedures, experience in dealing with banks and other financiers, and detailed knowledge of conveyancing forms and practice
  • the ability to work independently to establish direct ongoing relationships with Lowndes Jordan’s most valued longstanding commercial clients
  • a flexible, friendly, team player approach with pride in your own expert ability to deliver elegant solutions for clients in a calm but confident manner
