Liz is an expert commercial litigator who acts for corporates, insurance companies, banks and finance companies, insolvency practitioners, and high-net worth individuals. 

She has extensive experience delivering strategic contentious and non-contentious legal advice. She has developed an invaluable understanding of client needs, and has a reputation for delivering high-quality, pragmatic, and future-proofed advice across a range of sectors.  Liz has exceptional relationship-building skills. 

Liz has worked on complex litigation and disputes, resulting in numerous successful outcomes at all levels (District Court, High Court, Court of Appeal).  She is an experienced advocate including in mediation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution forums.  Liz advises on a wide range of legal issues, including pro-active advice on regulatory requirements, investigations, or management and resolution of regulatory non-compliance.  She can assist directors and boards with bespoke advice.

She has a particular expertise in insolvency, restructuring, banking, and regulatory matters.  Liz has acted in an advisory and contentious capacity on liquidations, receiverships, voluntary administrations, and restructuring for insolvency practitioners, creditors and other stakeholders.  She supports corporates and individuals in relation to regulatory investigations and the surrounding issues.

Clients value her in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and emerging legal issues, her authenticity, and her ability to deliver beneficial outcomes. Liz brings high-quality analytical, technical, risk mitigation and problem-solving skills to any situation.

Prior to joining Lowndes Jordan, Liz worked at top tier NZ law firms and more recently worked in-house at ASB as their Acting General Manager of Legal Services and Head of Disputes.  She regularly presents at conferences and to clients.
